In late May, Chapecó hosted the third edition of PHP Velho Oeste, an event born with the purpose of strengthening the PHP community in western Santa Catarina (Brazil), and one that keeps growing every year.

In 2025, we brought together nearly 250 attendees and managed to provide an even better experience for everyone there. It was two days of learning, connections, and exchanging experiences among professionals, enthusiasts, and companies who share a passion for PHP.

Our purpose as an organization is clear: bring the PHP community together, share knowledge, and create new opportunities through networking.

It's worth reinforcing that PHP Velho Oeste is a non-profit initiative. Every bit raised through tickets and sponsorships is reinvested back into the event itself: whether in more complete coffee breaks, supporting speakers' travel, or producing exclusive materials for attendees.

Behind the scenes, a committed team worked hard to make sure everything went as well as possible.

And finally, a special thanks to everyone who made this edition possible: attendees, speakers, sponsors, and supporters. Each one was essential to the success of another year of the event.

It's incredibly rewarding to be part of this.

Until next time! 🐘🌵🚀
